Kendrapara, Aug. 24 -- The flood situation in Odisha's Kendrapara district remained grim as incessant rainfall triggered by a low-pressure system continued to wreak havoc across several areas, leaving thousands of families stranded and causing extensive damage to houses and local infrastructure.

Several low-lying and flood-prone areas of the district have remained inundated, with residents facing difficulties in accessing essential supplies and moving between villages. Many families have been forced to stay in waterlogged surroundings, while some houses have either been severely damaged or collapsed under the impact of prolonged flooding.
