New Delhi, Aug. 19 -- Science and Technology Minister Jitendra Singh on Wednesday chaired the monthly joint meeting of Science Secretaries and said the RDI Fund carries a shared responsibility.

The meeting was marked by three important announcements, an official release said.

Jitendra Singh said that the RDI (Research Development and Innovation) Fund 'Conflict of Interest' policy had stringent safeguards to ensure protection of taxpayers' money as well as private capital.

However, he added that suggestions from stakeholders are welcome and, wherever feasible, more safeguards could be considered.
