Los Angeles, Aug. 24 -- Singer and actor Jessica Simpson has confirmed that Netflix is producing a documentary about her life, career and influence, with the project set to premiere in 2027, according to E! News.

Simpson announced the documentary on Instagram, sharing a picture of herself sitting alongside a camera crew. "It's time to open a new chapter," she wrote, tagging Netflix and adding, "2027."

According to Netflix's Tudum, the documentary will explore Simpson's journey in the public eye and her return to music after a long hiatus. The project will be directed by Joe Pearlman, according to E! News.
