Patna, Sept. 15 -- Bihar Deputy Chief Minister and Janata Dal (United) leader Vijay Kumar Chaudhary on Tuesday said that any decision on the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in the state will be taken only after examining the provisions of the proposed bill and holding direct discussions with Union Home Minister Amit Shah.

His remarks came in response to Union Home Minister Amit Shah's announcement that the UCC will be implemented in all 21 NDA-ruled states before 2029.
