Jaipur, July 7 -- Three children were killed, and their parents were critically injured after a speeding trailer struck the family on the Ajmer Road Highway near the 200 Feet Bypass in Jaipur on Tuesday morning, police said.

The incident occurred around 8:45 AM to 9:00 AM in front of a hotel on the main Delhi-Ajmer Highway, when a trailer heading from Jaipur towards Ajmer allegedly went out of control.

According to police, the family of five, a husband, wife and their three children, were standing by the roadside, waiting for public transport near the 200 Feet Bypass square, when the trailer ran off and crushed them. The vehicle then crashed into the roadside railing.
