Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- Bilkees Ara, popularly known as the "Blood Woman of Jammu and Kashmir," mother of three children, has set an inspiring example of selfless service by donating blood for the 44th time, reaffirming her commitment to saving lives through voluntary blood donation.

Bilkees has become a symbol of compassion and humanity, inspiring people across the region, especially women, to come forward and donate blood regularly.

An ASHA health worker and a dedicated social activist, Bilkees Ara has devoted years to promoting voluntary blood donation. Her journey began after a personal family emergency, motivating her to ensure that no patient suffers due to a shortage of blood.
