Doda, Aug. 25 -- Youths on Monday intensified their hunger strike demanding the immediate construction of the long-pending Government Degree College (GDC) Thathri building in Jammu and Kashmir's Doda district.

Speaking to ANI, protester Faisal Dar said they have been on a hunger strike for four days and that the objective of the protest is to raise awareness among people and encourage them to stand up for their rights.

"This is our fourth day...The issue is not limited to just the college; rather, we have launched a campaign... We want to raise awareness among people so that they stand up for their rights..." said Dar.
