Indian Ports Association (IPA) contributes Rs 5 cr for Assam CM's Relief Fund for flood-affected people
Guwahati, Aug. 10 -- Standing with flood-affected people in Assam, the Indian Ports Association (IPA) has contributed Rs 5 crore to the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Senior officials of the Indian Ports Association, Sushil Kumar Singh and Vikas Narwale, met Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma in Guwahati on Monday and handed over the contribution.
Speaking on the occasion, Union Minister for Ports, Shipping and Waterways Sarbananda Sonowal said, "This contribution is a meaningful step towards the Union Government's broader efforts to support Assam and stand with our people during this difficult time."
