New Delhi, April 7 -- Limited partners (LPs) rank India as their top investment destination in Asia-Pacific, underscoring a sharp shift in global investor sentiment as the country cements its position in private markets. A McKinsey survey of more than 50 global LPs finds India not only leading regional preference rankings, but also attracting deeper and more sustained capital commitments across asset classes.
LPs are passive investors in a partnership who contribute capital but do not manage daily operations. Their liability is limited solely to the amount of their investment. They share in profits and losses but lack voting or management rights.
