India's IIP growth may remain in single digits despite festive demand as weak monsoon, global risks weigh: Report
New Delhi, Sept. 29 -- India's industrial production growth may remain in single digits in the coming months despite support from festive demand, as weak monsoon conditions, higher input costs and global supply uncertainties pose downside risks, according to a Union Bank of India Research report.
"On balance, IIP growth may sustain in single digits in coming months," the report said.
It added, "While upcoming festive demand to add positively to IIP, we see some downside risks from weak monsoon and impact of delayed pass-through of input costs on demand."
"Also, supply shocks emanating from global uncertainties to have downward pressure on India's manufacturing output. On balance, IIP growth may sustain in single digits in coming months...
