India's ethanol supply hits 895 crore litres in August; grains contribute nearly 70 pc: Report
New Delhi, Sept. 12 -- Grain-based feedstocks have emerged as the dominant source of India's ethanol supply, contributing nearly 70 per cent of cumulative supplies, under the Ethanol Supply Year (ESY) 2025-26 as of August 2026, according to data compiled by the All India Distillers' Association (AIDA).
As per the data shared by AIDA, India's overall ethanol supplies reached 895 crore litres by the end of August, representing around 85 per cent of the 1,048 crore litres contracted.
