India needs green taxonomy, carbon markets, dedicated green financing institution: Jayant Sinha
New Delhi, Aug. 28 -- India needs a green taxonomy, effective carbon markets and a dedicated green financing institution to accelerate investments required for its sustainability transition, Jayant Sinha, Chairman of the CII India Sustainability Taskforce and former Union Minister of State for Finance and Civil Aviation, has said.
Speaking to ANI on the sidelines of the launch of the CII-IIMA report on the India Sustainability Taskforce, Sinha said the task force has identified a set of measures that require a "whole of government, whole of society" approach.
"We need to be able to have a green taxonomy which will enable us to figure out where the investments have to go in," Sinha said.
