India infrastructure sector seeks more private participation, simpler regulations: Deloitte Survey
New Delhi, Oct. 5 -- India's infrastructure sector needs greater private-sector participation, simpler regulations and stronger project preparation to accelerate project delivery, according to Deloitte's Future of Infrastructure Survey 2026.
The survey found that 38 per cent of Indian respondents consider the lack of private-sector participation a major challenge in delivering infrastructure projects.
The report said India's challenge is not limited to raising capital but also involves making projects more attractive to investors and ensuring they are ready for execution.
