India calls for stronger climate action, implementation of Paris Agreement at pre-COP31 in Fiji
Suva, Oct. 7 -- Union Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav, heading the Indian delegation at the Pre-COP31 meetings in Fiji, on Wednesday emphasised the urgent need to address knowledge gaps, deliver on climate commitments, and accelerate the implementation of the Paris Agreement ahead of the upcoming UN Climate Change Conference.
The preparatory meetings, held ahead of COP31 scheduled for November in Turkey, are co-hosted by Australia, Fiji, and Tuvalu under the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).
