Beijing, May 19 -- The Indian Embassy in China announced that Ambassador Vikram Doraiswami held an introductory meeting with the Director General of the Department of Asian Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China, Liu Jinsong, in Beijing, as both sides reviewed the state of bilateral ties and regional cooperation.

In a post on X on Monday, the Embassy said that the discussions covered "bilateral relations, regional developments, promoting people-to-people exchanges, and cooperation under the BRICS framework."
