New Delhi, April 14 -- Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the six-lane Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor in Dehradun on Tuesday, marking the completion of a project built at a cost of over Rs 12,000 crore.

The 213 km long access-controlled highway connected Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand. It aimed to reduce the travel time between the national capital and Dehradun from six hours to approximately two-and-a-half to three hours.

Union Minister of Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari on X described the event as a significant moment for the country's infrastructure sector.
