HD Kumaraswamy says HMT land claims "incorrect", accuses Karnataka govt of spreading "misinformation"
Bengaluru, July 6 -- Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy on Monday alleged that the Karnataka government had misused a recently retired officer to spread "misinformation" that HMT land belongs to the Forest Department.
He noted that the matter was sub judice and said that indulging in such speculation, when the central government is working to revive the HMT factory, would "spoil" the future of the younger generation.
Speaking to ANI, Kumaraswamy claimed that reports circulated in the media suggesting that the Forest Department had issued a 30-day notice to take possession of HMT land were "incorrect".
