Rishikesh, March 4 -- At Shri Chandreshwar Mahadev Temple in Rishikesh, the festival of colours, Holi, was celebrated on Wednesday. On the auspicious occasion of Holi, the Shivling at the temple was beautifully adorned with abeer, gulal, and flowers.

During the morning Aarti today, the devotees offered gulal to the Shivling and marked the holi celebration.

The Chandreshwar temple stands at the confluence of the Chandrabhaga and the Ganges. It has a "Shivling" which is bought from the Narmada river.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Wednesday greeted the people of the state on the occasion of Holi, highlighting the festival's role in strengthening the bonds of togetherness across society.
