Surat, July 9 -- Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel, along with Deputy CM Harsh Sanghavi, in the presence of Union Minister of Jal Shakti CR Paatil, on Thursday reviewed the flood situation with officials and legislators in Surat.

After the meeting, Gujarat Deputy CM praised Surat residents and relief agencies for teamwork during floods.

Speaking to reporters, Sanghavi said, "Many areas in Surat had to face a flood situation due to heavy rains on July 7. Looking at the past records of rain in this city, this was the heaviest rainfall Surat witnessed. The people of Surat worked as a team to come out of this difficult situation.
