Shimla, Sept. 19 -- Despite gold prices remaining at elevated levels, traditional jewellery, intricate craftsmanship and lightweight designs are attracting buyers in Shimla ahead of the upcoming festive and wedding season, with jewellers reporting strong interest in new collections at a four-day exhibition here.

The jewellery exhibition, being organised from September 19 to 22 at a hotel in Shimla, has brought together more than 5,000 designs across gold, diamond, polki, temple and silver jewellery, with the organisers saying the focus this year is on designs, transparency and lightweight craftsmanship.
