Panaji, April 12 -- Goa Chief Minister Pramod Sawant has issued a formal appeal to the leadership of political allies and opposition parties, alongside Members of Parliament, seeking a united front for the historic implementation of women's legislative representation.

With a special sitting of Parliament scheduled to commence on April 16th, the Chief Minister emphasised that the nation is at a "watershed moment" in its democratic journey. In alignment with the vision articulated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the focus has now shifted toward giving effect to the Nari Shakti Vandan Adhiniyam, a landmark reform enacted in 2023.
