Guwahati, March 25 -- Assam Congress president Gaurav Gogoi on Wednesday criticised the functioning of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), alleging that the party does not give due respect to the Chief Minister's position.
Gogoi said that five years ago, Sarbananda Sonowal, a tribal leader with an All Assam Students Union (AASU) background, was made Chief Minister but was later removed despite leading the party to victory and forming the government.
