Chikkaballapur, Sept. 13 -- Chikkaballapur police have stepped up preparations for Ganeshotsav, with authorities expecting around 1,740 public Ganapati installations across the district, similar to last year, Superintendent of Police Padmini Sahoo said.

SP Sahoo said extensive security arrangements have been put in place ahead of the celebrations, including a single-window permission system operational across all eight talukas listed anti-social elements and initiated action against them as part of the security of the district.
