New Delhi, Sept. 11 -- India's next phase of mobility infrastructure will increasingly be driven by intelligent highways, interoperable digital systems and technology-led financing, Union Minister for Road Transport and Highways Nitin Gadkari said at the Global Fintech Fest 2026, stressing that the convergence of physical infrastructure, digital payments and data can create more efficient and transparent transportation networks.

The minister was speaking at the launch of OneTag. He launched the 'One Tag' facility for FASTag portability in Mumbai. It allows vehicle owners to link their existing FASTag to a new bank account through the Rajmarg Yatra app.
