New Delhi, Sept. 8 -- As the 72nd National Film Awards is scheduled to be presented by President Droupadi Murmu on September 22 in Gujarat's Ekta Nagar (Kevadia), Ministry of Information and Broadcasting said on Tuesday, adding that the future editions of the event will be held across different states and cities.

In a major policy initiative, the Ministry said that it has been decided to hold National Film Awards in various parts of the country, taking it beyond the National Capital. The ceremony at Ekta Nagar this year will bring together cinematic talent from across India and embody the spirit of 'Ek Bharat, Shreshtha Bharat' (One India, Best India).
