Former MLA Alka Lamba files plea seeking release on probation in women's reservation protest case
New Delhi, June 4 -- Former MLA Alka Lamba has filed an application for release on probation of good conduct. She has been convicted in a protest case. The Rouse Avenue court is hearing arguments on the sentence after convicting Alka Lamba.
This case pertains to an FIR lodged in connection with the protest for women's reservation at Jantar Mantar in 2024.
Additional Chief Judicial Magistrate (ACJM) Ashwani Panwar granted time to the prosecutor to file a reply to the application. The matter has been listed for reply and arguements on sentence on June 6.
