Former employee among two held with juvenile for allegedly extorting Rs 10 lakh from Rohini resident
New Delhi, Sept. 2 -- Delhi Police have apprehended two persons, including an alleged former employee of the complainant, along with a juvenile in connection with an extortion case in which a Rohini resident was allegedly threatened with harm to him and his family and Rs 10 lakh was demanded.
According to police, the complainant, Vikas Tayal, a resident of Sector-23, Rohini, received repeated threatening calls between August 29 and 31.
The caller allegedly demanded Rs 10 lakh and claimed to be associated with the Neeraj Bawania gang.
Following a preliminary enquiry, police registered an FIR under Section 308(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita at Begumpur Police Station.
