Khordha, Sept. 26 -- A flood-like situation has emerged in Banpur of Khordha district of Odisha following heavy rainfall, with floodwater entering residential areas and disrupting normal life.

Several main roads have been affected, including the Banpur-Balugaon road, which has been disconnected due to the rising water levels.

Paddy fields have also been submerged, affecting farmers in the area.

Meanwhile, on 25th September, ADM Somnath Pradhan visited flood-affected areas in Malkangiri district of Odisha amid heavy rainfall and rising water levels in the region.

The Mathili Fire Service Team also rescued a family stranded in floodwater after the water level of the Saberi River at Nadiguda village increased following heavy rainfall.
