California, June 26 -- Turkiye produced a dramatic late comeback to defeat hosts the United States 3-2 in a thrilling five-goal encounter in their FIFA World Cup 2026 Group D clash, with Kaan Ayhan scoring a 98th-minute winner to seal the victory.

Already eliminated from the tournament, Turkiye ended their campaign on a positive note by edging Group D winners USA, who had made nine changes to their starting XI after securing qualification earlier.
