London, July 8 -- Former Mexico and Barcelona legend Rafael Marquez has been named the new coach of the men's national side following their exit in the round of 16 of the ongoing FIFA World Cup.

Having not conceded any goal till their round of 16 clash against England at the iconic Azteca venue, which they lost 2-3, Mexico coach Javier Aguirre announced his departure from the side.
