FIFA World Cup: Yasin Ayari's brace helps Sweden thrash Tunisia 5-1
Monterrey, June 15 -- Sweden launched their FIFA World Cup 2026 campaign in emphatic fashion with a dominant 5-1 victory over Tunisia in their Group F opener, extending their unbeaten run in opening World Cup matches to five games.
Graham Potter's side made a blistering start in Guadalupe and took control of the contest with two goals inside the opening half-hour. Tunisia goalkeeper Mouhib Chamakh endured a difficult evening and was at fault for Sweden's opener in the 18th minute.
