New Delhi, Feb. 18 -- In a significant move to bolster legal and strategic cooperation, the European Union inaugurated the first-ever European Legal Gateway Office in New Delhi on Wednesday.

The launch took place in the presence of Henna Virkkunen, EU Executive Vice-President for Tech Sovereignty, Security and Democracy, and Minister of External Affairs S. Jaishankar.

According to a statement released by the Delegation of the European Union to India and Bhutan, the event also saw participation from representatives of various EU Member States.

The European Legal Gateway Office in India is the first of its kind in a partner country and will facilitate safe, legal, and well-informed migration and mobility from India to EU Member States in...
