Mumbai, Aug. 22 -- Equity mutual fund assets rose to a fresh record of Rs 48.5 lakh crore in July, accounting for 56 per cent of the mutual fund industry's overall Average Assets Under Management (AAUM), as active equity schemes continued to see strong growth, according to the NSE Market Pulse report for August.

The report said equity AUM had risen steadily after moderating in March 2026, with active equity schemes registering 13.3 per cent year-on-year growth and accounting for nearly 78 per cent of total equity AUM. Their share of the overall mutual fund industry's AAUM also reached 44 per cent.
