New Delhi, April 2 -- The Ministry of Education refuted reports alleging a decline in the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF) rankings of Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), on Thursday, stating that such claims are misleading and based on a misinterpretation of facts.

In a post on X, the Ministry said that certain reports have incorrectly suggested that the university has "fallen from rank 2 to 9," clarifying that the comparison is flawed as it draws from two separate ranking categories.
