ED summons NCP leader Rupali Chakankar in "Bhondu Baba" Ashok Kharat case
New Delhi, May 13 -- The Enforcement Directorate (ED) on Wednesday issued a summons to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Rupali Chakankar in connection with the alleged rape case involving the self-proclaimed godman Ashok Kharat, also known as 'Bhondu Baba'.
The ED has directed Chakankar to appear before the agency for questioning later this week as part of its ongoing probe into the matter.
Previously, the ED had also questioned Chakankar's sister in connection with the same case.
Earlier, a Nashik court had sent Kharat to judicial custody till April 20 in the alleged rape case.
