New Delhi, Aug. 23 -- Foreign affairs expert Waiel Awwad on Sunday called on the United States to abandon economic coercion and engage in meaningful compromise with Canada, warning that unilateral tariff wars offer no prolonged solutions to international trade disputes.

Speaking to ANI on rising economic tensions, including the collapse of trade negotiations between the US and Canada, Awwad called for global governance, including the World Trade Organisation (WTO), to bring balance in international business.
