Hyderabad, July 15 -- The Election Commission of India (ECI) has revised the schedule for the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls in Telangana, extending the timeline for key revision activities, including Booth Level Officer (BLO) visits, publication of the draft electoral roll, and the final publication of rolls.

In a letter addressed to the Chief Electoral Officer, Telangana, the Commission said the revised schedule was issued following a request from the state election machinery.

As per the revised timetable, house-to-house verification by Booth Level Officers (BLOs) will continue from June 25 to August 3, while the rationalisation and re-arrangement of polling stations will be completed on August 3.
