Los Angeles, Aug. 22 -- Country music icon Dolly Parton has shared an update on her health, saying she has been dealing with some health issues while continuing to work on multiple projects, including a new museum celebrating her life in Nashville, according to People.

Parton, 80, told People that she had been through "hard times with my health" recently, adding that she did not pay enough attention to her own well-being while caring for her late husband Carl Thomas Dean, who died in March 2025 at the age of 82.

"I am dealing with some health issues that I just didn't pay attention to when I was watching over Carl," Parton said.
