Haveri, March 6 -- BJP MP and former Karnataka CM Basavraj Bommai on Friday termed the state budget "disappointing," alleging that the government's finances are under strain despite heavy borrowing and increased taxation.
Speaking to ANI, Bommai said that even after taking loans worth Rs 1.32 lakh crore and imposing an additional tax burden of Rs 25,000 crore, the budget still reflects a deficit of around Rs 32,000 crore.
"This is the most disappointing budget. In spite of taking Rs 1,32,000 crores loan and an additional burden of Rs 25,000 crores tax, there is a deficit of Rs 32,000 crores.
