New Delhi, June 2 -- The Digital India BHASHINI Division has partnered with Current AI and Kalpa Impact to launch the VYOMA Innovation Challenge, aimed at building open-source, voice-first AI solutions in Indian languages that work without internet connectivity, the Ministry of Electronics and IT said in an official statement.

The challenge uses Sunno Sutra, a handheld AI reference device unveiled at IndiaAI Impact Summit 2026, as the base platform for developers to create deployment-ready applications for education, agriculture, healthcare and governance.
