New Delhi, Sept. 5 -- Karkardooma Court on Saturday disposed of a plea filed by Shahrukh Pathan seeking three days' interim bail to attend the marriage of his cousin sister. Pathan subsequently withdrew his plea for interim bail.

He is on judicial remand in a case of rioting, attempt to murder, etc. of February 2020 at Police Station Jafrabad. His photo had made headlines, showing him pointing a gun during the Northeast Delhi riots of 2020.

Additional Sessions Judge (ASJ) Sameer Bajpai disposed of the plea after noting the submissions of counsel for Shahrukh Pathan, who submitted that he wished to withdraw the plea for interim bail.

Delhi Police filed a reply on the application pursuant to the order of the court of September 3.
