Delhi Police yet to grant permission for Oct 2 protest against CEC Gyanesh Kumar at Jantar Mantar
New Delhi, Oct. 1 -- Delhi Police has so far not granted permission for the proposed protest at Jantar Mantar on October 2 against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar, police sources said.
The proposed demonstration has been called by social activists and student groups over issues related to the functioning of the Election Commission and the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls.
According to police sources, permission has not been granted for the proposed gathering at Jantar Mantar so far.
The protest is scheduled to be held on Gandhi Jayanti, with organisers calling for action against CEC Gyanesh Kumar.
