New Delhi, Aug. 21 -- Delhi Police on Friday registered an FIR in connection with the pellet gun injury case under Sections 118 and 125 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

The case was registered followed a sit-in protest by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi demanding an FIR over the complaint by pellet gun shelling victim Sahil Lochav. The victim had said that FIR had not been lodged over his complaint.

Sources had earlier said that the complaint is being examined to determine whether a new case can be registered in accordance with the Supreme Court's order.
