New Delhi, Oct. 9 -- A high-level briefing of senior Delhi Police officials is underway at the Delhi Police Headquarters to review the law-and-order situation ahead of the Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)'s proposed protest at Jantar Mantar on October 10.

According to Delhi Police sources, senior officers are assessing the emerging situation and discussing the observations made by the Supreme Court regarding restrictions imposed in the national capital ahead of the proposed demonstration.

The meeting comes after the Supreme Court on Friday directed authorities to ensure that metro train services are not completely suspended ahead of the protest, stressing that security arrangements should not cause undue inconvenience to commuters.
