New Delhi, July 3 -- The Special Staff of Delhi Metro has cracked a high-value theft case within three days, recovering old gold jewellery worth about Rs 20 lakhs and Rs 60,000 in cash.

The incident occurred on June 28, when a woman travelling with her daughter from Kohat Enclave to Kashmere Gate Metro Station accidentally left her carry bag on a seat inside the Metro coach. The bag contained old gold jewellery worth around Rs 20 lakhs and Rs 60,000 in cash.

Shortly after, another woman travelling with her daughter noticed the unattended bag. Instead of handing it over to Metro authorities or the Lost and Found office, she took it and got off the train. A case was registered at Police Station Kashmere Gate Metro based on the complainant...
