New Delhi, July 31 -- Over one lakh native trees and shrubs were planted across 77 locations in Delhi on Friday as part of the Delhi Development Authority's (DDA's) massive single-day plantation drive, one of the Authority's largest coordinated plantation initiatives, the release said.

Lieutenant Governor of Delhi Taranjit Singh Sandhu led the drive by planting native saplings at Kamla Nehru Ridge.

According to the Delhi Development Authority, LG Sandhu was joined by approximately 200 participants, including students from four colleges - St. Stephen's, Hindu, Hans Raj, Maharishi Valmiki; two schools - Mamta Public School (Vikas Puri), Government Girls Sr Sec School (Shakti Nagar); morning walkers, and about twenty Resident Welfare Assoc...
