New Delhi, July 29 -- The Delhi High Court on Wednesday granted 30 days' interim bail to a jail inmate who alleged assault by jail officials in Tihar Jail. The inmate is a life convict in a POCSO case.

The High Court granted interim bail after a medical report from Deen Dayal Upadhyay Hospital was placed before it, stating that inmate Ashish alias Vicky had suffered a fracture in his hand.

A division bench of Justices Prathiba M Singh and Vikas Mahajan granted 30 days' interim bail subject to furnishing a bail bond of Rs 10,000 and a surety bond in the like amount.
