New Delhi, July 28 -- The Delhi High Court on Tuesday dismissed a petition seeking removal of Additional DCP Sandeep Lamba from a police inquiry in connection with allegations of slapping a woman during the CJP protest at Jantar Mantar, observing that the entire police force cannot be discredited over the alleged conduct of an individual officer.

Justice Girish Kathpalia, while dismissing the plea, said that the officer concerned would face consequences as per law if found guilty and emphasised that the institution should not be undermined.
