New Delhi, Oct. 7 -- The Delhi High Court issued notice to Delhi Police in an appeal filed by Abdul Nasir against the denial of bail in an MCOCA case. Special MCOCA court had denied him bail last month. He is alleged to be the kingpin of the Nasir Gang, in a case lodged under MCOCA in 2019 by the Crime Branch. Nasir was arrested in October 2020.

Justice Madhu Jain on October 6 issued notice to Delhi Police and asked them to file a status report. The nominal roll of the accused has also been called from Jail Authorities. The next date of hearing is January 28, 2027.

Abdul Nasir had filed an appeal under section 12 of MCOCA against the trial court order of September 7. The appeal had been filed through advocates Imtiyaz Khan, Lokesh Yadav...
