Delhi government launches citywide campaign to tackle air pollution with citizen participation
New Delhi, Sept. 6 -- The BJP-led Delhi government under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta launched a comprehensive citywide Information, Education and Communication (IEC) and Awareness Campaign.
The campaign emphasises that Delhi's fight against air pollution can succeed only when strong government action is complemented by the active participation of citizens and all stakeholders.
According to the Delhi Government, Environment Minister Manjinder Singh Sirsa declared that the fight for clean air cannot be won by the Government alone. Every citizen, every institution and every stakeholder has an important role to play.
